The Plural Portfolio is now the Studio Collection by Memo Furniture. While names and brands have changed, the purpose, value, and inspiration behind the offering remain; high value solutions that support a diversity of users and uses. This approach is captured by our mantra – More Than One.
The Collection consists of seating and tables with inherent versatility across work and life. From corporate and hospitality to higher-ed, retail and beyond, you’ll find functional, desirable, and adaptive solutions that are welcoming to all, and bring joy to many more than one.

Designers

Kayte is inspired by travel, the people she’s met along the way, and the adventures they share. Educated in industrial design, Kayte counts among her early career highlights a food truck design for Disney and a high chair for Kids ii. She went on to join the Research and Product Development team at Herman Miller, where she found her true passion: furniture. Today, combining her experience with a desire to learn, she designs products that beautifully solve real-time, real-world problems.

Seattle-based designer Gary Cruce combines his knowledge of craft and manufacturing with an intuitive understanding of the purpose and utility of the objects he designs. Through collaborations with colleagues in architecture, design, and manufacturing, he’s elevated the design intent while balancing critical requirements that are core to the product’s success. Over the past 20 years, he has developed spaces and products for the healthcare industry while working with NBBJ, Nemschoff, and Herman Miller.

In 1999, Brian founded Graham Design in San Francisco. With a professional evolution from interior designer to product designer, Brian provides a strategic approach in the design, development, and marketing of furniture and products. When he’s not sketching ideas for new products, you might find Brian teeing up on the front nine or confabulating about the uniform designs of copious sports teams with fellow birdie-seekers at his perennial favorite hole: the 19th.

Laura Guido-Clark is on a mission to empower people and companies to live well with color. Her work emotively transports people and helps them understand color’s power to forge connections to products, physical spaces, and the world around them. Laura is a color educator and strategist who speaks internationally on the humanity of color and its impact. She is dedicated to her non-profit organization, Project Color CorpsTM, spreading “optical optimism” across the country.

David founded New Studio in 1989 as a design firm specializing in product design, development, and licensing for major commercial furniture brands including Darran, Geiger, Jasper Group, KI, Kimball, MillerKnoll, Nemschoff, Steelcase, and Tuohy. He takes particular pride in designing products that embody each brand’s DNA. In addition to licenses for more than 350 original designs, he holds 24 U.S. patents. Based in Scottsdale, Arizona, David is an avid Ducati motorcycle collector and rider, having logged more than 200,000 miles in the past six years.

Dave Simon
Driven by a passion for design and culture, Dave Simon has spent more than 25 years in the furniture industry. Whether as product designer, creative director, or general manager, Dave has worked with Metropolitan Furniture, Brandrud, Herman Miller, and now Memo Furniture, where he serves as Managing Partner and Creative Director. His experience also includes collaborations with IDEO, Fuse Project, Girard Studio, Google, and Nike. Dave lives across the bay from Seattle on Bainbridge Island and enjoys cooking, cycling and, rain or shine, paddling the waters of Puget Sound.
